Chivas Regal is more than just a whisky; it's a legacy built on the pioneering spirit of the Chivas brothers and the art of blending. The Chivas story begins not with a distillery, but a high-end grocery store opened in 1801 in Aberdeen by brothers James and John Chivas. Catering to an affluent clientele, they sourced fine foods, wines, and spirits. Noticing the inconsistency of available single malts, they began blending whiskies themselves to create a smoother, richer, and more reliable product for their customers – a pioneering move at the time. Their reputation grew, earning them a Royal Warrant from Queen Victoria in 1843. Seeing opportunity in the booming US market, the Master Blender created a luxurious 25-year-old blend in 1909, naming it Chivas Regal. Despite setbacks like Prohibition, the brand re-emerged post-WWII with Chivas 12, capturing the market with its smoothness and quality. In 1950, Chivas Brothers acquired the beautiful Strathisla Distillery, securing a key malt for their blend and establishing its spiritual home. Today, Chivas Regal continues this legacy of blending expertise and smooth character, enjoyed worldwide.  

• Nose: Aromatic infusion of wild herbs, heather, honey, and orchard fruits (like ripe pears and apples). Hints of vanilla and nutty undertones.
• Palate: Round and creamy, delivering the promise of the nose. Rich notes of honey, vanilla, ripe apples, hazelnut, and butterscotch dominate. Exceptionally smooth.

Neat: To fully appreciate the complexity, especially in older expressions. With a Drop of Water: Opens up the aromas and softens the palate slightly.
