Nose: Sweet spice, creamy barley malt, hints of fruit, flowers, apple pie, banana, cocoa butter, dried peels, and oak. Some detect a fresh and fruity aroma with hints of apple, pear, and a whisper of spice.
Taste: Light and gentle notes of malt, sherry, vanilla, toffee, date and raisin, hints of walnut loaf, allspice, and toasted oak. Some find it very gentle and light-bodied, starting with caramel, then changing to peat and spiciness, with a balance of sweet maltiness and subtle spice.
